Welcome to the first round of the ESO. This is the main round: your chance to pull out all the stops and create something special for your ship!
This round, the two prompts are:
Quote - this could be a quote from an Enstars story or song lyric
Discovery - whether the discovery of old secrets, new horizons or anything else
To participate in this round, your team should produce a number of fanworks less than or equal to the number of team members participating in this round. E.g. if four people contribute to your team's entry, that entry can have up to four fanworks in it, even if your team actually has five members total. (This is to encourage collabs—for example, while each person in the team could produce a single fanwork, if two people collaborated, that would only count as one fanwork, leaving room for a second collab.)

Deadline: 14 July

Rules
- Each team must submit their entries to the
esomain Dreamwidth community in the form of ONE post that collects everyone's creations. The submission format must be followed (see below). It is the team captain's responsibility to make this post or ensure someone else makes it. To collaborate on it easily, we suggest using a Google Doc.
- Remember, people will be voting for you based on this post, so make sure it's formatted nicely! Please embed any images in your post to make them easy for people to see.
- Any team not following the rules or the submission format will be disqualified from the round until they fix the issue.
Content Guidelines
- Types of work:
- Any kind of creative fanwork is allowed—art, fanfiction, meta, fangames, videos, cosplay, cooking, music, edits... as long as it wasn't published anywhere before the round started.
- What counts as 'one piece of fanwork': For example, one image or one fanfiction. Comics and other sequential art forms (even just two illustrations that read sequentially) are permitted, but submitting two completely separate illustrations would count as two fanworks. Illustrated prose still counts as one submission, as do other projects that combine different mediums. A collaboration between multiple members still counts as one submission. Please contact the mods if you are unsure about an idea.
- You do not need to respond to the prompts, they are simply there for inspiration.
- R18 fanworks are not allowed.
- This goes without saying, but make sure any other ships included in your submission are depicted respectfully.
- Extra text within the post is encouraged, e.g. to caption artwork and credit the creator.
- You are encouraged to cross-post works to your preferred social media and/or AO3 once the round has started, and provide a link underneath your entry so people can give your work some extra attention if they like it.
